im so sick of things changeing from when they were, i loved the old ET i hate the changes,it agrivates me.
(the only thing i like is the 'previous moods' thing,thats helpful in my point of view)

ET did need upgrades cause of all the new ppl being added so fast,but i dont like all the changes they did with the buttons and the side bars

2008-07-14 [Iruvielle]: It depends on the computer... for some odd reason it's faster on dial up then it is on modem(I have cable modem, my friend has dial up, it's faster on her computer then it is on mine! O.o)

2008-07-14 [_habnabit]: @Akatsuki: obviously it's your connection. It makes no sense for a site to run slower on a faster connection. Your network could be congested, or any number of other things.
But you can't blame ET for it, because it's not ET's fault.

2008-07-14 [_habnabit]: @Akatsuki: Ever heard of confirmation bias? You don't like the new layout, so any other perceived problems you're going to blame on the site update as well. Most people are saying that the load times are faster, and the pages themselves are smaller, so...
At any rate, [True, plain and simple] just told me that it's pretty much impossible to roll elftown back to how it was before this update. Ah well.

2008-07-15 [XxTsomexX]: This is an opinionated wiki [_habnabit], I know they probably can't change it back, it would require WAY too much work and it would probably fuck up the computer beyond repair, however, people just don't like the new layout, and they wish it could be changed back. As [Tsunade] said, no one is wrong here, no one is right. It is an opinion.
2008-07-15 [True, plain and simple]: I don't believe that [_habnabit] was trying to say that your opinions in regards to the layout itself were wrong, only the belief that ET is somehow "slower" because of them. If anyone is experiencing degraded performance from Elftown, I can assure you that it has nothing to do with anything that was changed on the layout, so believing that is, in fact, wrong.
There are several other factors that impact Elftown's speed though, so I'm not trying to say that you're wrong in noticing that it may not respond as quickly, just that there's no related reason it would have been different had the layout not changed. :)
2008-07-15 [XxTsomexX]: I, personally, don't really see any changes in Elftown's speed, but it has been crashing a bit more. Knock on wood it doesn't happen again, but I know my dad's computer and my own are horribly slow.
2008-07-15 [True, plain and simple]: Timeouts can happen for a number of reasons (which is what I assume you guys mean by "crashing"), but adding new changes require the server to be restarted, so it's possible that [Hedda] is restarting to fix a bug or something similar on some of the occasions where you're having trouble connecting. I can't be sure of course, but that may help to explain why it seems more frequent than usual. On the plus side, if that's the case, it should go back to being the way it was before soon. If not, there may be other network issues beyond our control.
2008-07-15 [All_Most PUNK]: Keep in mind that between all the work and the crashes (which aren't part of ET's revamp, just happened at the same time) there were long periods of time with ET being down or too overworked. Things should be smooth again with all the updates done.

A lot of the comments now are just bothering me and I really don't feel up to being a part of something that's going to go sour with all of the clashing going on here ><;; so, I'ma stop watching the page, if anyone wants to comment, they can message me outright.
Again, sorry, but really, this is beginning to get out of control e.e
